Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 June 2026
Kips Template (the “Service”) is a visual design editor provided by Kips Technology (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the editor, browse public pages, contact us, or use optional monetized builds.
1. Controller and contact
The data controller is Kips Technology. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
2. Client-side editor by default
The public editor is designed to work locally in your browser. By default, we do not receive your designs, uploaded images, text layers, template selections, undo history, or exported files.
- Projects and uploads are stored on your device using
IndexedDB,localStorage, and browser cache APIs. - Preferences such as theme, language, zoom, and recent panels may be saved locally.
- Exports are generated by the browser and downloaded by you.
- Contact forms open your email app and send messages directly to our published email address.
3. Data we may receive
- Email messages you send to us, including your name, email address, topic, and message.
- Basic server logs handled by the hosting provider, such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and timestamp, used for security and reliability.
- Optional account or cloud features only if they are enabled and you choose to use them.
4. Cookies, local storage, and offline cache
The editor needs browser storage to save drafts and work offline. The full storage table is available in our Cookie Policy. Clearing site data may remove local drafts and preferences.
5. Advertising and monetization
If a deployment enables advertising, ad providers may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud, and report aggregate performance. Ads must not cover the canvas, export dialog, toolbar, template picker, or active editing controls.
6. Legal bases
- Contract: to provide the editor, local project storage, export flow, and support.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and keep pages reliable.
- Consent: for optional personalized advertising or optional analytics where required.
- Legal obligation: to respond to lawful requests where applicable.
7. Age requirements
The Service is intended for general audiences. Account ownership, payments, and monetization relationships must be handled by a person who can legally accept the relevant terms.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to processing. Because most editor data stays on your device, you can delete many records yourself by clearing browser site data or deleting local projects.
9. Security and retention
Local editor data stays on your device until you delete it or clear browser storage. We use HTTPS and browser security boundaries. Export important work before clearing storage.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material updates will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
